In addition to funding the Holloway Sanatoriam and the College, which he endowed as a memorial to his wife, Thomas Holloway (1800-1883) donated 77 important Victorian paintings to the College, including W. P. Frith's Railway Station, Luke Fildes' Applicants for Admission to a Casual Ward (1874), and paintings by J. E. Millais, Edwin Long, Frank Holl, David Roberts, and John Brett.
