With its open roof and upper-level windows, the church interior is unusually bright and airy. It was redecorated in 2007, using colours similar to those first employed. From the beginning, the woodwork was painted "a dark sage green, the walls were terracotta pink and the ceilings white" (St. Michael & All Angels). The benches were to Shaw's design.
