The Wisteria Dining Room. Designed by Lucien Levy-Dhurmer (1865-1953). 1910-14. Carved walnut and amaranth. Dimensions of room: Height 146, width 207, depth 315 inches (370.8 x 525.8 x 800.1 cm).

The artist designed this magnificent example of an art nouveau total environment — the only French Art Nouveau period room in any American Museum — for Auguste Rateau, a member of the Academy of Science, who lived at 10 bis, ave. Elysée-Reclus in Paris.
