Nine Plates for A Holiday Romance in four parts, Our Young Folks, An Illustrated Magazine For Boys and Girls, Vol. IV, Nos. 1-5 (January through May, 1868)

The nine plates are of two distinct types and sizes: Gilbert's facing plates which begin each number of the magazine, and Eytinge's and White's integrated plates that have been dropped into the first page of text, as were the illustrations for the Christmas Book The Chimes in 1844. The second type invariably occurs on the first page of an instalment, although the events it describes are several pages later.
