The Chivalrous Cabman, who wlways acts upon the principle, that "None but the brave deserve the fare." by Phiz (Hablot K. Browne). 1853. From "The New Revolution in Cabs," Illustrated London News. The caption for this last satirical illustration involves a pun on "fair" that is based a quotation from John Dryden's "Alexander's Feast": "None but the brave deserve the fair."
