St. Elisabeth of Hungary
Isle of Mull, Argyllshire
Charles Kingsley's poem about St. Elisabeth of Hungary made her a popular subject with the Pre-Raphaelites and later artists and sculptors, including Sir Alfred Gilbert and Philip Hermogenes Calderon. She also appears in stained glass windows by Westlake and by Bell & Beckham. [Mouse over names for links.]
