lease consider responding to an MLA survey (and/or proposing an essay) for a new volume in the MLA's Approaches to Teaching World Literature series—Teaching Dickens's Great Expectations, edited by Michelle Allen-Emerson (U.S. Naval Academy) and Peter J. Capuano (University of Nebraska-Lincoln).

This survey is designed to gather information about the most recent methods and materials used by instructors when teaching Dickens's Great Expectations.

The editors, and the MLA, are interested in pedagogical approaches from the broadest range of perspectives as possible. Respondents are invited to provide concrete answers to the questions related to their teaching and are also encouraged to submit a proposal for a contribution to the volume. Requirements for submitting an essay proposal are included in item 16 at the end of the survey. All respondents—even those who choose not to submit an essay proposal—will also have the option of having their names and institutional affiliations listed in the final published edition. Both proposals and survey responses are due 1 March 2024, after which the survey will no longer be available.

Thank you for helping in the development of this important project.
