Ruskin Caricturized in Punch

According to Joan Abse's biography, the Punch cartoon is "a satrical response to Ruskin's support of a protest oprganized by some members of the St. George's Guild against a proposed extension of the railway which, it was feared, would bring further industriual contamination to the Lake District."
