Chris Louttit is Assistant Professor of British Literature and Culture at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. He is the author of Dickens's Secular Gospel: Work, Gender, and Personality (2009), and has published articles in journals such as Adaptation , Dickens Quarterly , and Philological Quarterly . Research interests include Victorian fiction, especially the work of Charles Dickens and Elizabeth Gaskell, Victorian print culture and publishing history, and adaptations of and responses to the Victorians in literature, film, and televison. One of his current projects focuses on the Household Edition, and he hopes to do further research on the posthumous illustration of Dickens's works.
