Faith, Hope and Charity, or more correctly, from left to right: Hope (Spes), Charity or Love (Charitas) and Faith (Fides). The figures are in their characteristic poses for this artist, against rich backgrounds of foliage and fruit. The designs are from 1870-71, but the window was made later on as the lower part of a larger window in the north wall of St Mary's Parish Church, Dundee, by Morris & Co. It was installed in 1882 (Gifford 92). The surround makes a particularly pleasing frame for it.

Details from the window. Left: Hope stretching her arm up, as if to pluck some fruit. Right: the two little children clinging to Charity, who has a smaller one in her arms. The inscription tells us that the window was in loving memory of the Rev. Archibald Watson, DD, who had been minister of the parish for almost twenty years, and died in his 61st year in 1881.
