Sir Samuel Luke Fildes, R. A. (1844-1927)

119 x 84.3 cm
The portrait hangs at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight, Wirral, Cheshire. The gallery was Lord Leverhulme's gift to the village that he had founded for the employees of the Sunlight soap manufactory there. As the name of the gallery suggests, it was given in memory of his wife. — Jacqueline Banerjee.
