The cartoonist portrays Disraeli wearing the Crown with which he endowed him once he became Lord Beaconsfield. Relaxing in a hammock, Disraeli smokes a Turkish cigarette, a box of which lies open on a book entitled Lives of Great Men. In the distance appear tombstones inscribed with various disasters, including mine, railway, and ship accidents. — George P. Landow
