Conductor, dryly: — “Any two gen’l’men mind goin’ outside to oblige.’
This cartoon inverts a cartoon of a decade earlier — “Will any Lady ride outside to oblige a Gentleman?” (cartoon) — but in this case the woman's crinoline-filled skirts are so large two men would have to leave to allow her to enter.
