two keystones, child's heads surrounded by leaves, and a bull

Sculptural decoration around window

Eric Raymond Broadbent (fl. 1911-24)

1924

Portland stone

Broadbent has created a keystone above the arch beneath the window, a keystone-shaped decoration with the letters “AP” [for the Anglo-Persian Oil Company] above the window, and another keystone-shaped decoration with the head of a bull. He has also placed the head of a child wrapped in leaves (a wood fairy?) above each capital.
