In its review of the the National Competition for students of art and design throughout Great Britain, The Studio begins its discussion of sculpture with Levick: "The sculpture is up to its high level again. Ruby Levick (South Kennsington, gold medal) has a really fine group of two wrestlers, not merely vigorous in conception handled with somethjing like mastery" (260). She is also mentioned among among the art students who produced the finest "life models" (260-61).
