Gray's Elegy (plaque)

Gray's Elegy by Sir W. Hamo Thornycroft. Monogramed: “HT” and dated 1881. Bronze plaque, 4 x 8 ½ inches. The bas-relief illustrates the line “the Ploughman homeward wends his weary way.” This is a copy of the bas-relief below the marble bust of Thomas Gray in Cambridge, Pembroke College Chapel.
