This is one of those new churches, demanded by the ever-increasing population of London, which are now springing up so rapidly in and around the metropolis. Until this church was built there existed at South Hackney bat one chnrch, which had been quite inadequate for many yers past to the requirements of the parish. The new church was commenced in August, 1864, when the first stone was laid by the Bishop of London. It is now completed and opened. [Continued below]
