A typically celebratory advertisement promoting the Dalziels’ ‘Fine Art Gift Books’. The text combines laudatory comments by critics with a lexical field of exaggeration which highlights the books’ fine qualities: ‘superb binding’, ‘elegant’, ‘elaborate’ and ‘printed on fine paper’. Who could resist?
