Binding

Owen Jones; unsigned.

1842

Olive green cloth with a gilt design.

10 x 8 inches

This is the cloth-and-gilt version of a book that first appeared, bound in leather but with the same device, in 1841. By Jones’s standards the design is remarkably constrained; Jones also created the book’s chromolithographic borders and end-papers.
