Your merry heart goes all the day, your sad tires in a mile

Ernest Archibald Taylor (1874-1951)

Ink, pencil, and watercolor on card

This is one of six designs that an inscription describes as “Executed by George Wagge Ltd Manchester. This window was designed for a large hall opening onto a stretch of moorland the glass being all antique and having excellent light gave it much brilliance. E. A. Taylor The Shealing 50 Bolton Road Pendleton — via — Manchester”

The Sotheby's catalogue groups this with “One morning oh so early.”
