Entrance gates

The present iron gates are of 1880 (Murray 50-51); the change here was due to the extension of the Lodge, and minor constriction at the carriage entrance.
Views of the sphinx on the southern corner pillar.
On Cemetery Road the corners of the original grounds have a sphinx on the southern corner pillar and a sarcophagus on the northern pillar.
