Jesus Stills the Waves; Marriage at Cana, at St Peter's, Staines, in the east of the north aisle, atSt Peter's Church, Staines, produced by Percy Bacon Bros., and installed in 1897, in memory of William Trollope. Notice on the left the rolling blue-green waves, the anchor (with its suggestion of safety) on the rope just above, the flying sails or pennants; and on the right, all the detailed embellishment of the wedding feast's serving vessels in the foreground, and the bride seated under the rich canopy at the table in the background, with the groom and wedding guests. The architectural splendour of the frames here is typical of this firm. The grapes in the tracery lights are particularly appropriate and pleasing here.
