James Hyland writes from London:

I am an award winning English actor and writer. My work has been described by Time Out as "Surreal, funny and cathartically close to the bone". I will be performing in a new stage version of Hard Times (which I jointly adapted and devised from the novel by Charles Dickens) at the Warehouse Theatre, London (adjacent to East Croydon Train Station) from Friday 24th October to Sunday 16th November. You can find all the details about the production at the official website including reviews, travel information, on-line booking and teaser trailer.

We first performed the play earlier in the year as part of a National Tour, earning great reviews and commendations for the adaptation. The cast consists of three actors (myself, Tom Peters and Raewyn Lippert) who perform all of the characters, using various theatrical techniques and devices to tell the story such as puppetry, mime, movement, dance, and naturalistic drama.
