Haight, p. 58. Pictures of both the cast and the engraving are reproduced in Laski, George Eliot and Her World, p. 30. The print was made by Blanchard in 1844 for the Paris firm of Goupil and Vibert; it was published and marketed in London by their agents, Gambart and Junin (Maas, Gambart, p. 35).
