Pen, brown ink, and wash on paper pasted on board support (window). 167 x 248 mm (6 9/16 x 9 3/4 inches). Provenance: with Gerald M. Norman Gallery, London, April 1974 (as by John Martin). Bought as Lot 815 from Lawrences of Crewkerne, 24th April 2009. There it was mistakenly ascribed to "a follower of John Martin." The artist and location were identified subsequently by Paul Crowther.
