Albert Toft (1862-1949)

1897

Plaster [?]

"Mr. Albert Toft is a Birmingham man, so that his statuettes in bronze and plaster, his portrait busts, and his plaster sketches proviked much interest among Midland art-lovers. Most of the pieces here have been exhibited in London, and it is unnecessary to refer to them at length here. Illustrations are given of two of his best works — Evening, a beautiful statuette which well displays his poetic grace and dainty fancy; and a A Vision, a striking conception of the head of a young girl" — The Studio, 121-22.
