Royal train at Aberdeen, 1900e. The royal train at Aberdeen station, pulled by the Caledonian Railway 4-4-0 locomotive number 390, November 1900. The train was carrying Queen Victoria from her Scottish home in Balmoral to Windsor Castle. This was one of the last train journeys that Queen Victoria made; she died two months later, in January 1901. Photograph and text courtesy of the National Railway Museum.
