Office block

Isaiah Robert Edmondson Birkett (1853-1933).

1902

Watercolor

62 cm. x 61 cm

This signed and dated drawing shows the front elevation of a 6 storey building which faces a street in downtown Birmingham called The Piccadilly (not to be confused with the street of the same name in London). This is one of several large office/warehouse blocks which Birkett designed in Manchester. This specific building may have been destroyed by enemy bombing during WWII.
