Guest bedroom of 78 Derngate, Northampton, of 1916, in the reconstructed Mackintosh House at the Hunterian Art Gallery, Glasgow. A strictly geometrical arrangement, with black and white strips as the dominant motif, combined with functional beds and bedside furniture; as usual, Mackintosh fuses the functionality of Arts and Crafts with the sophisticated elegance of his version of Art Nouveau.
