A List of the Illustrations for Dickens's "A Holiday Romance" by various artists

The nine plates for A Holiday Romance appeared in four parts in Our Young Folks, An Illustrated Magazine For Boys and Girls, Vol. IV, Nos. 1-5 (January through May, 1868). These plates are of two distinct types and sizes: John Gilbert's facing plates which begin each number of the magazine, and Sol Eytinge's and G. G. White's integrated plates that have been dropped into the first page of text, as were the illustrations for the Christmas Book The Chimes in 1844. The second type invariably occurs on the first page of an instalment, although the events it describes are several pages later.
