Glanville Lumber Co. Portable Dormitories . Here the little Shay pulls a flatcar carrying one of the two portable dormitories in which the employees of the Glanville Lumber slept after a hard day's work. Both scratch-built dormitories used a very different construction method than that used for the mess hall, sawmill, and and locomotive repair shed: Instead of employing board-by-board construction, I used plastic clapboarding, Campbell Scale Models roof material, and Grandt Line windows and doors.
