ofie Flowers is a graduate of the University of St. Andrews where she studied Romantic and Victorian literature. Her research interests entail ecology, decomposition, female sexuality, and all things to do with the Gothic. Her article “Strange Sexuality: The New Woman in Thomas Hardy and Marie Corelli,” in press with Woman Halved, draws upon these interests and explores the perceived dangers of unconventional sexual behavior. When not writing, Sofie enjoys painting, hunting for sea glass, and — of course — reading classic literature.
