This elegant steam launch, which has a steel hull and a large triple-expansion steam engine capable of 18 mph, was built by Forestt and Sons at Wivenhoe on the River Colne in Essex. Originally called Grebe. it is an early example of a prefrabricated boat, made to be shipped in pieces and reassembled at the launch site. — Dick Sullivan
