Houses influenced by Galizia, Malta, by Emmanuele Luigi Galizia

Houses in Triq Fra Diegu in Hamrun, Malta, after Emmanuele Galizia. These two houses, which at first seem so strikingly similar to the houses in the Moorish Terrace, Sliema, have not been found in Galizia’s records and "are thus unlikely to have been his work, but most probably copied by someone who liked his designs" (René Attard, reporting on his conversation with Robert Galea-Naudi, great-great-grandson of the architect). According to the same source, the latter's "opinion was also that they are unlikely to be his as the proportions are not as fine as those of Galizia." These houses, then, may be considered an interesting example of Galizia's influence, "but not at the same level" as his own works.
