The Feast of the Tabernacles, by Simeon Solomon. 5½ x 7¼ inches. Art Treasures of the Old Testament, p.129. This image illustrates Leviticus, xxiii: 33–43. Another moving design in which the men carry citrons and the house is decorated with green branches. The tone is again one of dignified solemnity, although domestic touches are carefully preserved, notably in the way in which loose leaves and sprigs have fallen to the ground.
