Recorded as "by Mr Gibbs. His own gift" (Handbook, 22

Isaac Alexander Snr died that year, but his eldest son was named after him, and the firm continued to be a family firm for several more years. It is not clear which member of the family designed or completed this window, but it is certainly similar in style and bordered roundel arrangement to other Norman windows by Alexander Gibbs. Perhaps, since it was presented to the cathedral in that particular year, it should be seen as a memorial to the father?
