he Wilkie Collins society and the Broadstairs Dickens Fellowship are organising a conference on Dickens and Collins in Broadstairs. It will be on Sunday 18, October, 2026, in the meeting room at Bleak House, Fort Road, Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1EY. The event will run from 10am to 4pm and there will be a buffet lunch. There is no charge for the event itself.
There will be talks about Dickens and Collins and Broadstairs as well as some entertainment with both Collins and Dickens themes. There will also be a tour of the key places in Broadstairs where Dickens and Collins stayed.
Topics may be anything pertaining to Dickens and/or Collins at the seaside, particularly Broadstairs, or on leisure, holidays, or on their works associated with the town: The Woman in White, No Name, David Copperfield.
