"No Thoroughfare" in France

The Mask

The play of No Thoroughfare was translated into French, and im June 1868, Dickens went over to Paris to superintend the rehearsals. It was called “L’Abime” and was performed at the Vaudeville Theatre, where it was as big a success as the English version in London (Wilkins and Matz 133).
