Diana C. Archibald, who is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, is the author of Domesticity, Imperialism, and Emigration in the Victorian Novel (Missouri, 2002) and co-curator of the award-winning exhibition Dickens and Massachusetts: A Tale of Power and Transformation.
