Augustus L. Egg, artist

R. Kyles [?], engraver

1840 [?]

Illustration for Shakespeare’s A Winter’s Tale in Works II, 456.

“A Egg” appears barely legible in white space beneath image, but in the online version of the text I have seen the title is completely missing and the engraver's name illegible.

I have assumed that this work is an oil painting or watercolor, but the volume in which it appears provides no information about its portraits of Shakespeare’s women other than a title, artist, and engraver, two of which are here illegible. — George P. Landow
