The inscription at the top of the frame reads, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do do it with thy might for there is no work, nor device, not knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave whither thou goest.” That at the bottom: “He that deserveth the hand shall not sow & he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.”
