This cartoon presents a sympathetic picture of a barmaid’s life depicting all the things with which she has to bear, especially the obnoxious customers, male and female, including the old lady (middle left panel) “who mutters about a forward minx” and the “amiable gentleman who talks [at 12:30 PM] about reporting her for daring to be sleepy” (bottom). It seems in Sullivan’s style, but his usual monogram is missing.
