The New Knight. On the left this cartoon is signed F.C.B (Francis Cowley Burnand, 1880–1906, who was knighted in 1902. He contributed comic pieces and illustrations to Punch from the 1860s onwards and was editor of the magazine from 1880 to 1906. On the right is Linley Sambourne’s signature.
