The Pre-Raphaelite Society (PRS) is the international society for the study of the lives and art of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Founded in 1988, the Society publishes writings relating to the PRB and their successors in our journal, The Review of the Pre-Raphaelite Society, holds meetings and lectures, and organises visits to important exhibitions of national and international interest. The Society’s aim is to encourage the study of the works and lives of, and also promote the wider appreciation of, the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and their successors.

We have members across the world who contribute to our Review, published three times a year, and we hold a series of lectures (online and in person) on a wide range of topics of Pre-Raphaelite interest. We also run annual competitions in poetry, painting and essays relating to matters of Pre-Raphaelite interest.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Victorian Web, whose wide range of excellent articles will already be a valued resource for many of our members. This partnership will enable the PRS and The Victorian Web to share resources, including publication of selected essays, and to work together to promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Pre-Raphaelites and their associates.
