The commandment at the top to "love one another" is from John 15, 12; more specifically, this is the Biblical episode from Matthew 19, 14, in which Jesus tells the disciples not to prevent parents from bringing their children to him ("Suffer the little children..."). The children look up to Jesus trustingly, but the disciples on the right look quite taken aback! [Commentary continues below.]

According to Charlene and Martin Crampin, the heraldic symbols in the tracery, and the initials in little roundels there, relate to the Williams family: the window was dedicated "To the glory of God and in memory of Sir John Hay Williams Bart. of Bodelwyddan. Born January 9th 1794 died Sept. 10th 1859."
