Paolo Priolo, ‘Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse’ (from the Bible, Proverbs 1:14). Undated, but probably early 1860s. 20 x 12 cm. Pen on paper, signed. From the Collection of Leonardo Mancioli, Rome, and reproduced with his kind permission. This unpublished drawing is probably one of a series that the artist produced for religious imprints, including The Parables of Our Lord, with lithographs drawn on stone by the artist [1862], and Scenes from the Life of St Paul (London: Religious Tract Society, [1866]).

Scanned image by Leonardo Mancioli, and text by Simon Cooke. [You may use this image without prior permission for any scholarly or educational purpose as long as you (1) credit the photographer and (2) link your document to this URL in a web document or cite the Victorian Web in a print one.]
