St Philip

Heaton, Butler and Bayne (stylistic attribution by Robert Eberhard)

c. 1882

North Aisle 2 stained glass window

St Luke, Kentish Town, North London

This is one of a pair of lights among a series of windows attributed to the firm in Basil Champney's first commission. According to the listing text, which makes a definite identification, "Aisles contain a series depicting the twelve apostles, all c.1880-90 by Heaton, Butler and Bayne." This one is in memory of Charles Regnart, possibly the son of the funerary sculptor of that name, who lived 1759-1844.
