The Fidget, the caption explains, “dances at the booking-place with nervousness lest he should miss his train (which starts in an hour’s time). He pokes your back with his umbrella. . . . Then, as the train is about to start, it suddenly strikes him that the porter may be putting his luggage into the engine instead of the van [baggage car]. Then he feels he’s int he wrong train. Then he is certain we’re stopping because something is wrong . . . ”
