Prince Leopold, shown here in one of the medallion portraits of the princes and princesses crowning the tarsia panels in the nave, was Victoria and Albert's eight child and fourth son. A scholarly boy, he was afflicted with haemophilia, and would die from the disorder in early manhood, in Cannes.
