Entrance Hall at Tŷ’n-y-coed, Arthog. Around the same time Seward was employed at Insole Court, he was also at work on this house near Barmouth, in Gwynedd, N. Wales. Here he had a much freer hand since it was a new build rather than a makeover. The entrance hall of this house is spectacular by comparison with that at Insole Court, but he has made similar use of Penarth alabaster arches, and the design of the fireplace is similar too.
